This last couple days has been really fun I made a couple of tutu's that turned out really great. Although after I made them someone introduced me to a website where I could buy them for $2! So I spent $20 to make two. I think I over paid, but they turned out so super cute.
Then last night Abi and I made like a bazzillion of these cookies
They are oatmeal chocolate chip, because we don't believe in ruining cookies with dried fruit such as raisins! After we made cookies, Ciara came over and we took some cookies over to the neighbors and me and Ciara and Angie made scrapbooked cards, it was so super fun! I love hanging out with them.
Then this morning I realised the down side to having a self sufficient child. She puts her own shoes on so I don't see how they fit, and she isn't big on complaining. So for the second time this week she came to me with blisters on her feet. The first time being Friday, so we quit wearing those shoes and tried another. Which meant both pairs of her sneakers are now too small. UGH! So today we got to go shoe shopping which is usually fun, but not this time! I cannot figure out why all the shoes are stupid frigign canvas shoes!! Whatever happened to the cute kids DC's all they have now are different variations of the Sketchers TwinkleToes that light up and make me want to have seizures! Like these...
I mean really who on earth decided that ALL girl shoes should look like this, Nike, Echo, KSwiss and Sketchers all have a variation of THIS stupid seizure inducing shoe! So Me and the sales guy went round and round about how these shoes were just plain not going to work! I wanted something unique and different and NOT seizure material! He continued to tell me this was all they had! Then after 45 minutes of going back and forth he magically decides he will check the back room ONE more time!(he checked already 10 times) This time I supposed he was sick of me because he finally came back with something different! And low and behold it was the last pair and in her size! (Yeah Right!) So I chose this new cool shoe and moved on to sock shopping. Which went fairly quickly and after an hour at the shoe store we finally leave with these...
Delta Force Low's (from the Air Force One Collection)
Much better right? These actually are made out of leather and might withstand a couple of months of being worn by a 5 year old. But we shall see....

What a great day!
After feeding and cuddling the kitty for a while, I decided to take some more pics, since it was nice out! I love natural lighting, seeing as I can't afford the $500 for the started lighting kit for indoors. Well, that and I can't aford another $500 for backdrops and set up, I do on the other hand have 2 spare bedrooms that I could empty out when I can afford them! Here are the gorgeous pics we got today!

Hope You Brought Your SnowPants&SwimTrunks
Today was the first day in a couple weeks that it was warm enough to venture out to the park, and after about thirty minutes of begging, Abi had me persuaded. It was actually really nice at first, got up to a whopping 50 degrees for about a half hour. It was really nice to get out of the house, even if it was only to the park, and I got some great shots of Abi. I'm grateful for any opportunity to take pictures of my little booger! I noticed something today though. I must be the only mom worried about the way my child looks. All of the other kids had holes in their clothes and dirt on their faces, and messy hair, the list goes on, and it just makes me think, "What are their moms thinking??" I always make sure Abi has clean clothes and clean face and combed hair. It makes me feel so bad for them because you see the mom has nice new clothes and her hair done. I would never ever put myself, looks or otherwise, in front of my daughter. She is my everything. I really am glad we had the opportunity to go to the park today because tomorrow and Tuesday we are supposed to get snow, which Abi and I are not happy about at all! I guess that is just Nebraska for you. The sign says Welcome to Nebraska, Home of the Good Life, but it shout say, Welcome to Nebraska, Hope you brought your Snow pants and Swim Trunks!

Not One Of My Smarter Moves:(
Well today I got the hair cut I have been talking about getting for a while and I have to say I should never have done it. I thought that maybe it was the change that I needed so badly but it wasn't. So now for the long trial of growing it back out. I know everyone will be nice and say tat it looks great or that it really frames my face, or makes my fivehead look like the normal forehead, but it is all lies. I can look at before and after pictures with my long luxurious hair and my short choppy hair and know without a doubt I made a huge mistake. I want to sit down and cry about it but I know that is not going to do me any good, then I am tempted to just say EFF it and cut it into a layered bob, but once again that wont do me any good. I am seriously at a loss. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and I had the best hair dresser ever cut, so I know it wasn't her mistake it was simply an error in judgement on my part! See for yourself....

May I Have A Job Please?
Well I felt myself getting bored all day at home and decided to apply for an office job during day time hours to pass the time. I didn't think anything would actually come of it, I had actually reasoned that they wouldn't even call me. WRONG! So I have a job interview today in less than an hour, I am really nervous because even though I did not think I wanted a job, I realised as soon as I got the call that I DID want the job.
On another note it is only 11am and I am already so tired I could fall asleep at any minute. Waking up at 7 to take Abi to school and workout is kicking my ass. And it is kind of upsetting that on day 5 of doing and hour and a half of strength training and cardio I have lost ZERO lbs!! This is crap, mostly because I am pretty sure I am starving to death for no reason.
Abi has decided to adopt the cat that hangs out in our shed in the winter months. You can tell I am excited right? NOT! This is soooo not a good thing, why couldn't it be a dog? So far she is not aloud to feed it, just play with it, but she is a sweet talker deluxe and I see her being aloud to feed it by the end of next week. I would much rather just have a fish. I guess if it stays outside it won't be a big deal, I just don't think I could handle having another dirty animal (besides Josh and Abi) to clean up after in the house. No Thanks!

How many blondes....
does it take to put an eliptical together?
According to my little sister, "More than the 2 we have here!" But we accomplished it!! And made great time in doing so, didn't have to take anything apart to put back together either, and woohoo no spare parts left over, that has to be a good sign!! So tomorrow I will add 30mins of eliptical cardio to my 30 Day Shred and lifting with the bowflex. Wish me luck.
I am figuring out how fast alone time flies. Being home all day and Abi being home instead of at the baby sitter means a messier house. Therefor I spend 3X more time cleaning than I did before, just to keep the house in OCD condition. When it comes to keeping the house clean we all tend to be a little bat shit crazy! So now after taking Abi to school I work out, shower, then clean, clean, and clean some more until it is time to pick her up from school. Then we jsut play I love to play. You see this is a luxery I never got before. I worked second shift and when she went to school I was asleep and when she got home I was at work, and when I got home she was asleep. I saw my princess only on the weekends, and when something went wrong at the factory and I had to work weekends, well then I never saw her.
So now I will eat my words, staying home is not all sunshine and butterflies, but it is way better than working for 8-10 hours in a 35 degree room and never seeing my baby! All in all I am still prretty sure I am winning!
